INDEPENDANT PROJECT
My personal art style has changed a lot through the years, but how I would describe it now, is that it is reflective of my emotions and how I want to be. I have a lot of angry, sad, and anxious feelings in my life and it feels good to have a sharper scribbly style so I can just get all my hard emotions out on paper. Its reflective of myself because it shows how I want to be seen. I'm self conscious of my weight and my appearance as an AFAB (assigned female at birth) person, so I draw my characters mostly slim and my style doesn't have “male” features or “female” features.
I am influenced in my art by the music I listen to. A lot of my characters are based off of my favorite songs or songs I have just found. The scenes I draw my characters in are what I think I would see when listening to that song or in a situation I would be listening to that song in. I am also very inspired by artists on the internet, mostly YouTube. I spend a big portion of my time watching YouTube, or just having it on as I do things, so artists on YouTube, mostly youtubers Kasey Golden, and Lavendertowne have inspired my art style, and I've noticed when they make changes to their art styles, or I find new artists, I make changes to mine as well.
